Turnhout Map Poster & Print
Turnhout is the main town of the Kempen region in the province of Antwerp. From above, its historic centre sits inside a ring of roads that loosely follows the old town edge. At its heart stands the castle of the Dukes of Brabant, surrounded by water. Around it, a dense tangle of medieval streets gives way to more regular later neighbourhoods.
Turnhout is known as the capital of playing cards: printing firms made the city a world centre for card manufacturing from the nineteenth century, and a national museum is dedicated to the craft. Its beguinage, part of the Flemish beguinages World Heritage listing, forms a quiet enclosed quarter. North of the centre, the Dessel–Turnhout–Schoten canal cuts a straight line through the town.
A Turnhout map poster gathers these elements into one clear image: a ringed centre, a moated castle, an enclosed beguinage and a canal passing along the edge. It is a compact town with much to read in a small area. In monochrome the layers of history and industry sit side by side without competing.

The beguinage
The enclosed beguinage forms a small, self-contained quarter of lanes and courtyards. It appears as a quiet, intimate block within the town.
Canal and ring
A straight canal and a ring of boulevards frame the historic streets. Together they give Turnhout a strong, legible outline.

Zakaj Turnhout
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Turnhout is a town people carry with them after student years, family life or work in the Kempen. A map with a personal title, like a street name or a wedding date, turns that link into something to hang on the wall.
Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper suits the old town particularly well. Order a matte print with an optional wooden frame, shipped from a nearby partner, or download six HD sizes for $9.
