Defined town block
The urban area is a compact, readable cluster of streets, clearly bounded against the surrounding countryside, which makes it an unusually clean central shape on a poster.

Varzelândia Map Poster & Print
Varzelândia is in the north of Minas Gerais, a region of cerrado and semi-arid country where towns sit far apart and the roads between them run long and straight. On a map the town is a small, well-defined cluster of streets with a great deal of empty space around it. That emptiness is part of the picture, not something missing from it.
The streets form a mostly regular pattern of blocks around the centre, with the edges loosening as they reach the open land. Unpaved rural roads leave the town in several directions and head towards farms and smaller communities. Seasonal watercourses mark the terrain faintly, which fits a landscape where water is scarce for much of the year.
A Varzelândia map poster works because of that restraint. The town is legible at a glance, a small inked shape in a wide field, with its outgoing roads reaching towards the frame. It is a portrait of the Brazilian interior at its most direct, and a fitting keepsake for people whose roots are in the north of Minas.

Long rural roads
Dirt and paved roads leave the town and stretch outward across the sertão, drawing long lines that tie the small centre to farms and neighbouring communities.
Seasonal watercourses
Faint streams and dry creek beds mark the land around the town, a subtle detail that reflects the semi-arid climate of northern Minas Gerais.
