Central grid
The old centre follows a broadly regular pattern of blocks. The layout is common to towns across central Mexico and reads with particular clarity in black and white.

Villagrán Map Poster & Print
Villagrán is a municipal seat in the state of Guanajuato, in the heart of the Bajío, the fertile lowland that has long been one of central Mexico's farming and industrial cores. The town lies on flat ground in the corridor between Celaya and Salamanca. On the map, an almost unbroken pattern of irrigated fields surrounds its compact centre.
Like many towns in the region, Villagrán is organised around a central square and church, with a broadly regular grid of streets extending from it. Regional roads cross the flat terrain in long, straight runs, and the rectangular farm parcels carry the geometry of the streets far into the countryside.
A Villagrán map poster is a study in straight lines. The street grid, the field boundaries and the roads all share the same measured order, broken only by watercourses and the occasional diagonal track. The effect is calm and orderly, a clear picture of how towns in the Bajío sit within their farmland.

Regional corridor
A main road linking the neighbouring cities of the Bajío passes the town. It draws a long, direct line across the plain and ties Villagrán into the region's busy corridor.
Irrigated fields
Flat farmland divided into long rectangular plots surrounds the town. It carries the geometry of the streets outward and fills the edges of the sheet with a quiet, even pattern.
