Vimercate Map Poster & Print
Vimercate lies in the Brianza area north-east of Milan, and its streets are woven into the surrounding towns. At the centre, an older core of narrow streets and tight blocks keeps a fairly clear outline. Around it, broader residential areas and business districts spread outward, and a ring of main roads carries through traffic around the town.
The town's origins go back to Roman times, and its name is usually traced to Vicus Mercati, a market settlement. It remains an important local centre for eastern Brianza, with a historic centre that includes churches, villas and a medieval bridge. In more recent decades it has also become home to technology and business offices.
A Vimercate map poster brings out the layering of a Lombard market town. There is a dense, irregular centre, a ring of later growth, and the lines of regional roads connecting it to Milan and Monza. It is a well-structured map with a clear focal point.

Ring of main roads
Main roads and a bypass curve around the town. They form a loose ring that frames the centre and links it to the wider region.
Brianza fabric
Streets extend almost continuously into neighbouring towns. This shows how closely Vimercate is connected to the urban belt north of Milan.
