Tsimlyansk Reservoir
One of the largest bodies of water in southern Russia spreads beside the city as a wide, empty plane. It frames the street pattern and gives the poster a calm horizon.

Volgodonsk Map Poster & Print
Volgodonsk was founded in 1950 as a settlement for the builders of the Volga–Don Canal and the Tsimlyansk hydroelectric complex. It lies near the dam that holds back the Don in Rostov Oblast. The map shows two distinct parts: the Old Town, built in the early decades, and the New Town, laid out later with broad avenues and large residential blocks.
In the 1970s the city grew rapidly around Atommash, a large plant built to manufacture equipment for nuclear power stations, and the New Town was designed for its workers. The Rostov Nuclear Power Plant stands a short distance away on the reservoir shore. These projects explain the spacious, zoned layout, which keeps housing, industry and green belts clearly apart.
A Volgodonsk map poster makes that zoning easy to read: long parallel avenues, generous superblocks, industrial areas set off by open land, and the flat expanse of the reservoir beside them. It is a clear example of late Soviet city planning, and the plain black-and-white treatment lets its geometry speak without distraction, much like an architect's site plan.

Old Town and New Town
Two separate urban cores sit several kilometres apart: the earlier settlement and the later Atommash-era district. Long roads across open ground connect them.
Broad avenues
The New Town is organised around straight, wide avenues and large residential blocks. The result is a regular pattern of rectangles that looks especially crisp in fine line work.

Zakaj Volgodonsk
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many families came to Volgodonsk to build the dam, the canal or Atommash, so a map of the city often carries a story of arrival. You can put that story in the title and subtitle, perhaps a surname or the year you came, and keep the coordinates as a precise marker.
Blueprint gives an engineer's look and Noir suits a darker wall, or you can choose Classic black & white, Paper or Sand. The $9 digital files come without a watermark, as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF in six sizes. Printed matte posters can be ordered with a wooden frame.
