Webster Groves Map Poster & Print
Webster Groves lies southwest of St. Louis, Missouri, and grew in the nineteenth century as one of the region's early commuter suburbs along the railroad. The map shows a mix of gently curving and straight residential streets, large lots and small commercial centres, with rail lines cutting through on long diagonals and the wooded course of Deer Creek adding a natural curve.
Often called the Queen of the Suburbs, Webster Groves is known for its historic houses and tree-lined streets. It is home to Webster University, and its Thanksgiving football game against neighbouring Kirkwood is one of the oldest high school rivalries in the country. Old Webster and Old Orchard form small, walkable districts along the main roads.
A Webster Groves map poster captures a classic American suburb shaped before the age of highways: fine-grained streets, small business districts and rail corridors that once carried commuters into the city. It works well for anyone who grew up here, studied at Webster University or has watched the Turkey Day game from the stands.
