Wheaton Map Poster & Print
Wheaton is a community in Montgomery County, Maryland, north of Washington, D.C. From above, it is shaped by the meeting of three major roads: Georgia Avenue, University Boulevard and Veirs Mill Road. Around that intersection sits a commercial centre with the Westfield Wheaton shopping mall, while quiet residential streets of single-family homes spread in every direction.
Wheaton Metro station, on the Red Line, is known for one of the longest escalators in the Western Hemisphere, descending deep below the surface. To the east lies Wheaton Regional Park, a large green area that includes Brookside Gardens, with lawns, woods and water. It is one of the most distinctive features on the local map.
A Wheaton map poster shows a typical American suburb, but one with clear structure: the main roads converging at the centre, the curving residential streets around them, and the broad green shape of the regional park. In black and white, the contrast between road, neighbourhood and park reads sharply.
