Wolf Trap Map Poster & Print
Wolf Trap is a residential community in Fairfax County, Virginia, between Vienna, Tysons and Great Falls, in the western suburbs of Washington, D.C. The area is heavily wooded, and on the map this shows as a network of curving roads and long driveways, with houses spread out on large lots rather than tightly packed.
The community is named after Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, the only national park in the United States devoted to the performing arts. Its large open-air Filene Center hosts concerts and performances in summer. The park and the wooded stream valleys around it form the green heart of the map.
A Wolf Trap map poster shows a suburb shaped by trees and streams rather than a grid. Major routes such as the Dulles Toll Road run along the edges, but inside, the roads follow the terrain, bending around creeks and gentle slopes. The overall effect is loose and open.

Stream valleys
Wooded creek corridors, including Wolf Trap Creek, wind through the neighbourhoods, and roads curve around them instead of crossing them straight on.
Large wooded lots
Houses sit far apart on tree-covered plots, so the map reads as a pattern of long driveways and quiet lanes rather than dense blocks.
