Island-dotted reservoir
The lake that names the town is broken up by many small islands, so on paper it looks less like one sheet of water and more like a cluster of shapes.

Xingdaohu Map Poster & Print
Xingdaohu is a town in the Beihai area of Guangxi, in China's far south. It takes its name from Xingdao Lake, a large reservoir whose many small islands gave it the name. On a map the town is small next to the water. A short cluster of streets sits beside a shoreline that folds in and out, forming bays, peninsulas and islands.
Around the town the land is mostly farmland and low countryside. Roads run out between fields and villages, and a few longer routes connect toward the coast and the larger cities of the region. Because the built-up area is modest, the drawing is shaped by contrasts. Dense short lines mark the town, and broad open areas are broken only by water and the occasional thread of road.
A Xingdaohu map poster suits someone who knows the place by its lake rather than its streets. In black and white, the reservoir becomes the main subject. Its outline is complex enough to read as a pattern, and the islands are scattered through it. The town sits at its edge as a small, solid anchor.

Folded shoreline
The reservoir edge twists into coves and fingers of land. It is the most intricate line on the map and gives the composition a lot of fine detail.
Compact town centre
The streets of the town form a small, tight knot beside the water. Its density stands out against the open countryside.

Zakaj Xingdaohu
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People choose this map to remember a quiet place in southern Guangxi, often one tied to family or a return home. The lake gives the poster a strong, recognisable form without relying on big-city density, and it reads well even at a distance.
You can set your own title and subtitle and adjust the coordinates line. You can also pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint and Sand both bring out the reservoir outline particularly well.
