Wei River course
The river winds across the city, its curves standing out against the straight streets and providing the one strongly organic line in an otherwise geometric plan.

Xinxiang Map Poster & Print
Xinxiang lies in northern Henan, on the flat land of the North China Plain between the Yellow River to the south and the Taihang Mountains to the northwest. With few hills to work around, the city has grown in an orderly way, and its map shows long, straight avenues meeting at right angles across wide blocks.
The Wei River, part of the Hai River system and not to be confused with the better-known Wei of Shaanxi, flows through the urban area and gives the grid its main natural line. Canals and irrigation channels thread through the surrounding farmland, a reminder that this is one of the most intensively cultivated regions in China.
A Xinxiang map poster is a study in geometry. The regular blocks, the single winding river and the flat countryside at the edges produce a calm, balanced composition. The city is better known for its universities, industry and farming than for famous monuments, and the map presents it honestly, as a well-ordered place to live and work.

Grid of avenues
Long, straight roads divide the city into broad rectangular blocks, a layout made possible by the flat plain and easy to read at every print size.
Farmland margins
Beyond the built-up area, fields and irrigation channels stretch toward the horizon, leaving quiet space at the edges of the poster and framing the dense centre.
