The built area forms a small, close cluster. On the print it looks like a single dense mark set against a much wider field.

Yamarugley Map Poster & Print
Yamarugley is in the Somali Region of eastern Ethiopia, in the semi-arid lowlands that stretch toward the border with Somalia. Detailed mapping of places like this is limited, and the plan is correspondingly sparse. What shows is a cluster of streets and compounds, with tracks running out across open ground to the neighbouring settlements.
That sparseness is exactly what makes the map interesting. With no dense grid or large river to fill the frame, the few lines carry a lot of weight. Each track that leaves town marks a real route used for trade, livestock movement or family visits, and the empty space around it says a good deal about the land.
A Yamarugley map poster is a small, honest record of a place that seldom gets drawn at all. For people with roots here, and for families now living far away, even a modest plan is a way of putting home on the wall at its true scale.

Tracks into open country
Roads and tracks radiate out toward the surrounding area. They are the main lines of the composition and show how the town connects to the region.
Wide negative space
Much of the frame is open ground. In a minimal style that emptiness becomes part of the design and gives the plan a calm, spacious feel.

Zakaj Yamarugley
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Some people hang a map because the place is famous. Many more do it because the place is theirs. A plan of Yamarugley can mark a birthplace, a family origin or a place a relative still lives, drawn clearly and without decoration.
You can give it a personal title and subtitle, such as a family name or a year, and keep or adjust the coordinates line. Pick Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Use the free watermarked preview to check the framing before buying the $9 HD files.
