Zarechnyy Map Poster & Print
Zarechnyy lies just outside Penza, in the forested country of the middle Volga region. From above, the town appears as a compact planned layout carved out of woodland, with straight avenues, large residential blocks and green space between buildings. Forests surround it on most sides, so the built-up area forms a clearly defined shape on the map.
The town was built in the Soviet period around a large industrial enterprise and remains a closed administrative territory, with entry controlled. Its planning reflects that origin: residential districts, schools and services arranged in a deliberate order, and a clear separation between the town and the surrounding land. Few towns in Russia show their planning so clearly from above.
A Zarechnyy map poster shows that orderly design: wide streets, large blocks and the forest wrapping around them. In black and white, the contrast between the regular town and the natural edges gives the map a strong and calm character that suits a simple frame.
