Canal network
Irrigation and drainage canals run through and around the town, often lined by roads. They are the strongest lines on the map and structure most of the surrounding land.

Mapa
Al Burj Map Poster & Print
Al Burj lies in Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate, in the far north of the Nile Delta, near where the delta meets Lake Burullus and the Mediterranean. The land is completely flat and crossed by irrigation canals and drainage channels, and the map follows that pattern: blocks of streets set between canals, with roads running along the water.
The surrounding area is shaped by the delta's agriculture and by the fisheries of the northern lakes and coast. Fields, canals and villages form an almost continuous landscape, and the town's edges tend to blend into this network rather than stopping at a clear line.
An Al Burj map poster shows the town's streets alongside the canals and field boundaries around it. The straight irrigation lines and the more irregular lanes of the older quarters create two layers of detail. In black and white, the result is a quiet, graphic study of life in the northern delta.

Town quarters
The built-up area combines close, irregular lanes in older parts with straighter streets in newer ones. Together they form a compact cluster set among the fields.
Delta fields
Beyond the streets, small fields divided by ditches and paths create a fine grid. It fills the outer part of the poster and places the town in its agricultural setting.
