Old village core
Around the green and the parish church, a few short streets keep the irregular pattern of the original village. On the poster they appear as a small, older area among later estates.

Mapa
Billingham Map Poster & Print
Billingham is a town in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, just north of the River Tees in northeast England. Its map has several distinct layers. A small historic village core sits around a green and an old parish church. Around it are residential estates and a pedestrian town centre, most of them built in the mid-twentieth century.
In the twentieth century Billingham was closely associated with the chemical industry, and the large ICI works south of the town shaped both its economy and its growth. The town is also known for the Billingham International Folklore Festival, which has brought dance groups from around the world since the 1960s.
A Billingham map poster shows these different eras side by side. The curved streets of the estates fill most of the frame, the old village streets are a small, irregular pattern among them, and the large industrial sites to the south appear as broad, open shapes. The Tees provides a firm edge at the bottom.

Planned town centre
The mid-century shopping centre and the roads around it form a compact planned area. Its geometry is stricter than that of the surrounding housing.
Industrial south
South of the town, large industrial sites extend toward the Tees. On the map they show as wide blocks with a few long access roads.
