Binnish lies in northwestern Syria, a short distance northeast of the city of Idlib, on the broad agricultural plain that stretches toward Aleppo. From above, the town has a compact, rounded form, with a dense core of courtyard houses and narrow lanes and newer streets spreading more regularly toward the edges.
The countryside around Binnish is dominated by olive groves, which appear on the map as fine, evenly spaced textures broken by field boundaries and farm tracks.
