Mapa
Bishan Map Poster & Print
Bishan is a small urban area listed in the Chongqing region of southwestern China, in the hilly country on the edge of the Sichuan Basin. This is terrain that rarely allows for straight lines: ridges, valleys and terraced slopes guide where roads can run and where buildings can stand.
On a map, the town's streets follow the contours of the land, gathering in the flatter ground and curving around hills. Around the built-up area, a fine web of rural roads connects villages across a landscape of terraced fields, streams and wooded slopes, typical of the countryside in this part of China.
A Bishan map poster captures the character of a hill town rather than a planned grid. The irregular streets, the winding roads and the curves of small rivers create an organic pattern that feels closer to a topographic sketch than a city plan. It is a quiet, textured image of life in the uplands of southwest China.
