Mapa
Blagoveshchensk Map Poster & Print
Blagoveshchensk occupies a point of land where the Zeya River flows into the Amur, and its map is shaped by these two rivers. The city's streets form a clear grid, running parallel to the Amur embankment and back from it, while the Zeya bounds the city on its eastern side. Across the Amur, less than a kilometre away, lies the Chinese city of Heihe.
Founded in 1856 as a military post, the city became the capital of Amur Oblast and a trading centre of the Russian Far East. Its long embankment along the Amur is its best-known public space, and the view of Heihe from the promenade is part of its identity. Since 2022 a road bridge across the Amur has connected the two cities.
A Blagoveshchensk map poster emphasises the geometry of the plan: the regular blocks, the long straight embankment, the broad river bending past, and the second river closing the city in on the east. With the far bank in view, the composition becomes a map of a border as much as of a city.

Zeya confluence
The Zeya joins the Amur at the eastern end of the city, where two broad bands of water meet and define the point on which Blagoveshchensk was built.
Regular grid
Most of the older city follows a straightforward grid of long streets and rectangular blocks, a layout that makes the map feel especially orderly.

Zašto Blagoveshchensk
Mapa koja nešto znači
Blagoveshchensk is a place people leave for Moscow, Vladivostok or further, and a map of it keeps the rivers and the view across to China close. Its clear plan and strong river edges make it one of the more graphic city maps of the Far East.
Title the poster in Russian or English, add a date or district to the subtitle, and choose one of five styles; Noir makes the rivers glow against black. HD files are $9 for six sizes, and printed posters are available on matte paper.
