Section-line roads
Rural roads follow the survey grid and meet at right angles at regular intervals. They give the print a steady, almost woven rhythm across the whole frame.

Mapa
Castro Map Poster & Print
This Castro sits far from any coastline, on the level ground of the Texas Panhandle. Its map is shaped less by history than by survey lines. Country roads run north–south and east–west at regular intervals, dividing the land into large squares. Few features interrupt them, so the geometry of the grid becomes the main subject, with small settlements showing up as brief clusters of shorter streets.
The area lies on the Llano Estacado, one of the flattest large plateaus in North America. Farming here depends heavily on groundwater drawn from beneath the plains. Shallow seasonal basins known as playa lakes are scattered across the region and can appear on maps as small isolated shapes. The name Castro is shared with the county, which honors the empresario Henri Castro.
A Castro map poster suits anyone who knows how open this landscape feels. A city print is crowded with lines, but this one is spare, and the empty space between roads carries as much weight as the roads themselves. It is a quiet, graphic image, close to a drafting sheet, and it reads well at large sizes, where the regular spacing of the grid has room.

Small town grids
Where settlements occur, the rural grid tightens into a denser block pattern of short residential streets before opening out again into farmland.
Open horizon
There is almost no relief, river or coastline, so the composition rests on empty space. This quality suits the Paper and Sand styles particularly well.

Zašto Castro
Mapa koja nešto znači
Families with roots on the plains often want something that shows the land as they know it: flat, ordered and wide. This print does that without decoration, relying on lines and space alone.
The title and subtitle can carry a family name, a farm or a year, and the coordinates line can mark a specific homestead. Pick one of five styles, then download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster.
