Mapa
Corvallis Map Poster & Print
Corvallis sits in Oregon's Willamette Valley, on the west bank of the Willamette River at its meeting with Marys River. The name, from Latin, is usually read as heart of the valley. On the map, downtown is a tidy grid running parallel to the river, with a riverfront park along the water and bridges crossing toward the farmland on the far bank.
West of downtown lies the campus of Oregon State University, a large area of quads, sports grounds and research buildings that makes up a significant share of the city's footprint. Residential neighbourhoods climb toward wooded hills to the northwest, while the southern and eastern edges open onto fields. A Corvallis map poster balances the campus, the grid and the two rivers.
The foothills of the Coast Range sit close by, with Marys Peak, the highest point in the range, visible from town on clear days. Parks, greenways and creek corridors thread through the streets, so the map shows plenty of soft, open shapes. The result is calm and well organised, much like the town's reputation as an easy place to cycle and walk.
