The Leie
The river winds through the town and the farmland around it. Its loops form the main natural lines on the poster and set the shape of the centre.

Mapa
Deinze Map Poster & Print
Deinze lies in East Flanders, southwest of Ghent, on the river Leie. From above, the river is the defining feature, curving through the town and the surrounding flat farmland. Just at Deinze, the Schipdonk Canal leaves the Leie and heads north in a straight line toward the coast, giving the map a clear, geometric counterpoint to the natural bends.
The town centre gathers around the river crossings, with a compact grid of streets and the church near the water. Beyond it, residential streets stretch out into the countryside. They give way to fields, farmsteads and the villages that belong to the municipality. The flat Flemish landscape leaves room on the map for the lines of water to stand out.
A Deinze map poster centres on the meeting of river and canal, curve against straight line. It is an unusually graphic composition for a town of this size. It suits people who live along the Leie and those who grew up there, as well as anyone who enjoys maps shaped by water.

Schipdonk Canal
The canal branches from the Leie at Deinze and runs north in a long, straight line. It forms a sharp geometric contrast with the river's curves.
Flat Flemish fields
Around the town, the level countryside is divided into fields and scattered farmsteads. This calm background lets the waterways dominate the composition.
