Mapa
Escondido Map Poster & Print
Escondido occupies a broad valley in inland north San Diego County, and its name, Spanish for hidden, describes how the surrounding hills enclose it. From above, the city's streets fill the valley floor in a largely regular grid, then break into curving roads and cul-de-sacs as the land rises. Interstate 15 runs along the western side, and a state highway crosses the valley from east to west.
The historic downtown is centred on Grand Avenue, where older blocks keep a compact, walkable scale. Around it, residential neighbourhoods spread in every direction, with open ground returning at the edges in the form of hills, orchards and reservoirs. Lake Dixon and Lake Wohlford sit in the hills to the northeast, appearing on the map as small irregular shapes of water.
Escondido is home to the California Center for the Arts, and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park lies just to the east in the San Pasqual Valley. The area was once known for grapes and citrus, and avocado groves still cover some of the surrounding slopes. An Escondido map poster shows how the city's grid sits neatly within its bowl of hills.

Valley bowl
Hills rise on nearly every side, so dense suburban streets give way to winding roads and open land, framing the city like the rim of a shallow bowl.
Hillside lakes
Lake Dixon and Lake Wohlford sit in the higher ground to the northeast, their irregular shorelines adding quiet water shapes to an otherwise inland map.

Zašto Escondido
Mapa koja nešto znači
Escondido is where many people raised children, bought a first house or spent weekends among the orchards and trails. A map of the valley feels personal without being sentimental, and it fits easily into a modern home.
Customise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name, a street or a year. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Sand picks up the warm tones of the inland hills and dry summer light.
