Mapa
Gembloux Map Poster & Print
Gembloux lies in the province of Namur, on the open plateau of central Belgium, and the map shows a compact historic centre surrounded by wide agricultural land. The town grew around a Benedictine abbey founded in the tenth century, and the old core still has the rounded, irregular street pattern of a medieval settlement. The small Orneau valley runs nearby.
The town's belfry is part of the UNESCO-listed group of belfries of Belgium and France, and the former abbey buildings now house Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, the agricultural sciences faculty of the University of Liège. That academic role fits the setting well, since the landscape around town is among the most farmed in Wallonia.
A Gembloux map poster captures the contrast between the dense centre, the ring of residential streets and the railway, and the quiet field pattern beyond. It is a restrained, balanced composition in black and white, ideal for anyone who studied at the faculty or grew up in the surrounding villages.

Medieval centre
Around the abbey and belfry, streets curve and converge in the irregular pattern of an old market town, visibly different from the newer outskirts.
Farmland plateau
Beyond the built-up area, long straight field roads cross open cropland, giving the edges of the map a calm, geometric texture.
