Mapa
Heverlee Map Poster & Print
Heverlee sits directly south of Leuven's ring road. From above, the dense medieval city gives way to a looser pattern of residential streets, university buildings and open green land. The Dijle river runs through the district on its way north into Leuven. It brings a soft, meandering line to a map that is otherwise made of suburban blocks and campus paths.
Much of Heverlee's character comes from the Arenberg estate. The castle and its park now form the heart of a KU Leuven science and engineering campus, so lecture halls and laboratories sit among old trees and lawns. Further south, the wide Heverleebos and Meerdaalwoud forests appear on the map as a large blank field crossed only by thin forest tracks.
A Heverlee map poster shows a place between city and countryside. The Park Abbey, one of the best-preserved abbey complexes in Flanders, lies on the district's eastern side with its ponds and walled grounds. There is also a Commonwealth war cemetery. Together they give the area a quiet, layered geography that reads well in black and white.

Heverlee forest
To the south, large wooded areas open into broad empty space on the map, cut by straight forest lanes that contrast with the curving streets closer to Leuven.
Park Abbey ponds
The abbey's enclosed grounds and chain of ponds sit on the eastern edge, a small geometric pocket of water and walls set apart from the surrounding streets.
