Mapa
High Point Map Poster & Print
High Point sits in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina, between Greensboro and Winston-Salem. It took its name from its position as the highest point on the original North Carolina Railroad line. The tracks still cut diagonally through downtown, Main Street crosses them near the centre, and neighbourhoods fan out around the old core in shifting grids.
The city is widely known as a capital of the furniture industry. Twice a year the High Point Market fills the downtown showrooms, many of them large buildings devoted entirely to displaying furniture to trade buyers. High Point is also home to High Point University, whose campus has grown considerably in recent years, and to a building shaped like a giant chest of drawers.
A High Point map poster traces the railroad, the tight showroom district and the looser suburban streets beyond. Out there, Oak Hollow Lake and High Point City Lake open wide, irregular shapes of water. It makes a natural gift for anyone in the furniture trade or with roots in the Triad.

Showroom district
The downtown blocks around Main Street are filled with showrooms used during the market. On the poster they form a compact, dense cluster at the heart of the city.
Oak Hollow Lake
This reservoir in the north-west of the city reaches into the surrounding neighbourhoods with a shoreline of long fingers. It is one of the most distinctive water shapes on the map.
