Khirdalan Map Poster
Khirdalan lies on the Absheron Peninsula just west of Baku, and on the map its streets run almost directly into those of the capital. It is the administrative centre of the Absheron District, and much of its growth is recent, so the plan combines older low-rise neighbourhoods with newer residential blocks and roads laid out on open land.
The surrounding landscape is dry and flat, with few natural features to bend the streets, and major roads towards Baku and the rest of the peninsula form the main structure. Industrial sites occupy parts of the edges, while newer apartment districts create denser patches among the lower houses.
