Subdivision loops
Residential neighbourhoods are laid out in curving streets and cul-de-sacs. They create intricate, leaf-like patterns that fill most of the map.

Mapa
O'Fallon Map Poster & Print
O'Fallon is one of the largest cities in St. Charles County, in the growing suburban belt west of St. Louis. Its map shows rapid expansion in the late twentieth century. An older core sits near the railroad, surrounded by subdivision after subdivision of looping streets, cul-de-sacs and small ponds, all threaded between the long straight lines of the highways.
The town took its name from John O'Fallon, a St. Louis businessman connected with the railroad that shaped its founding in the nineteenth century. Today Interstate 70 cuts through the city and Interstate 64 runs along its southern edge. Commercial strips and business parks cluster around the interchanges, and newer neighbourhoods fill the land in between.
On an O'Fallon map poster the suburban street pattern becomes surprisingly graphic. Winding residential loops, golf courses and stormwater ponds read as organic shapes against the rigid highways, and the old grid near the tracks remains visible as a small, regular heart. It is a detailed portrait of a place many families chose for its quiet streets.

Interstate corridors
Interstate 70 and Interstate 64 carve long straight lines through the suburban fabric, and their interchanges form tight knots of ramps and frontage roads.
Original town core
Near the railroad, a compact grid of short blocks marks the historic centre, from which the modern city grew outward across former farmland.
