Curving main roads
The principal roads through Puthūr bend around the gentle rise and fall of the land. They form the strongest lines on the poster and link the area to Thrissur.

Mapa
Puthūr Map Poster & Print
Puthūr lies in Thrissur district in central Kerala, a short distance from the city of Thrissur. Like much of the state, it is not a town with a hard edge. Houses, gardens and small commercial strips spread along the roads, separated by coconut groves, paddy fields and patches of higher ground. On a map, the settlement is a web of lanes rather than a compact block.
This loose pattern is what makes the black-and-white print interesting. Main roads curve with the terrain, and small lanes branch off them to reach homes set among trees. There are no long straight avenues here. In recent years Puthūr has also become known as the site chosen for the new zoological park serving Thrissur, which is changing part of the local landscape.
A Puthūr map poster is a good fit for Malayali families at home or in the Gulf and beyond, where a map of the home area carries real weight. It captures the organic shape of a Kerala settlement: a network that grew from paths between houses and fields, still visible in every bend of the road.

Lanes among the groves
Countless small lanes branch off to reach houses set in gardens and coconut groves. On the map they create a fine, branching texture, dense in places and sparse in others.
Zoological park site
Part of the area has been set aside for Thrissur's new zoological park. It adds a large, distinct open space to the map among the surrounding residential lanes.

Zašto Puthūr
Mapa koja nešto znači
A Kerala home area is hard to capture in a photo because the trees hide everything. A street map reveals the pattern beneath the canopy, which is why it works so well as a keepsake for people living far from home.
Write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a house name or a family surname, and adjust the coordinates line. Pick one of five styles. The $9 digital download includes six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files.
