Continuous with Lille

Mapa
Ronchin Map Poster & Print
Ronchin is a commune in the Nord department of northern France, right on the southern edge of Lille. From above, there is no clear gap between the two: Ronchin's streets continue directly from the city's, and the town forms part of the continuous built-up area of the Lille metropolis.
The town is mainly residential, with rows of brick houses typical of the region, as well as small parks and green spaces between housing areas. Major roads and motorways pass nearby, connecting the town to Lille and to the rest of northern France and Belgium.
A Ronchin map poster frames a place that is often seen as just part of Lille, and gives it its own centre. The dense streets of terraced houses, the larger roads at its edges and the green areas scattered between them form a detailed, fine-grained pattern, very different from the large open shapes of rural maps.
