Lakeside promenade
A long promenade follows the shore of the Überlinger See, so the lake forms a broad, clean edge along the bottom of the map with the town stacked above it.

Mapa
Überlingen Map Poster & Print
Überlingen lies on the northern shore of the Überlinger See, the long north-western arm of Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg. The lake fills the lower part of the map, and the town rises from the promenade up a hillside. The old town is a compact knot of narrow lanes, ringed by the former town moat, which has been turned into a series of gardens.
The late-Gothic Minster of St Nicholas stands at the heart of the old town, and parts of the medieval fortifications still survive. Überlingen is also a spa town. In 2021 it hosted the Baden-Württemberg state garden show, which reshaped parts of the lakefront. The Baroque pilgrimage church of Birnau and the pile-dwelling museum at Unteruhldingen are just along the shore.
An Überlingen map poster brings together the curve of the shoreline, the dense old town inside its green ring, and newer streets climbing the slopes behind. With so much water in the frame, the composition feels open and calm, and the fine street pattern gives it plenty of detail.

Moat gardens
The former town moat around the old centre has been turned into gardens, and its curving green ring is easy to trace around the tight medieval lanes.
Old town core
Narrow, irregular streets gather around the Minster of St Nicholas, creating the densest and most intricate part of the poster, in contrast with the open lake.

Zašto Überlingen
Mapa koja nešto znači
Visitors who spent a summer on Lake Constance, sailors and those who grew up on the shore all find something familiar here. Water and old streets make a well-balanced piece for a living room or hallway.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a holiday year or a family name. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the lake especially well.
