Mapa
West Melbourne Map Poster & Print
West Melbourne sits in Brevard County on Florida's Space Coast, immediately west of the city of Melbourne and inland from the Indian River Lagoon. It is a relatively young, largely residential city, and its map shows it clearly. Long straight arterial roads divide the land into large blocks. Inside them, subdivisions curve and loop around cul-de-sacs.
Interstate 95 runs along the western side of the city, a strong line that marks the transition toward the open wetlands and ranch land further inland. Retention ponds and small lakes appear throughout, typical of low-lying Florida development, and they punctuate the street pattern with smooth rounded shapes.
A West Melbourne map poster brings out the contrast between the rigid arterials and the soft curves of the neighbourhoods. The lakes add quiet voids, and the interstate frames one edge. It is a clean, modern map of the kind of place where many people actually live, rarely drawn with this much care.

Curving subdivisions
Within each block, residential streets loop and curve around cul-de-sacs, a pattern that looks almost decorative from above.
Ponds and I-95
Scattered lakes and retention ponds add rounded shapes, while Interstate 95 draws a firm edge along the western side.
