Mapa
Yeadon Map Poster & Print
Yeadon is a town in the City of Leeds district of West Yorkshire, set on high ground above the Aire and Wharfe valleys. It grew as a textile town in the nineteenth century, and its older streets still follow the steep, irregular lines of a Pennine settlement built around mills and terraces.
The map shows a dense core of terraced streets, with residential areas spreading outward in a mix of older and newer patterns. To the north, Yeadon Tarn forms a neat oval of water beside a park. Just beyond it, the long straight runway of Leeds Bradford Airport cuts across the landscape, one of the most distinctive shapes on the map.
A Yeadon map poster sets a close-grained Yorkshire town beside a modern airport, which is an unusual pairing. The airport sits on one of the highest points of any in England, and on a clear day the high ground around Yeadon looks out across a wide stretch of the county.

Airport runway
The long straight runway of Leeds Bradford Airport runs close to town, a bold geometric line that contrasts with the irregular historic streets.
Terraced streets
Rows of stone terraces on sloping ground create a fine, closely packed texture in the older parts of town, typical of West Yorkshire mill towns.
