Contour-led streets
There is no grid here. The main streets curve with the land, so the town's outline stretches along the valleys and pulls back wherever the slopes get steeper.

Mapa
Zhenxi Map Poster & Print
Zhenxi sits in the hill country of Chongqing municipality, where the ground is rarely flat. On a map the town has no neat grid. Its streets bend to follow the contours and gather wherever a valley floor or a gentle shoulder of land gives them room. Around the built-up core, the linework thins into winding rural roads.
This is the landscape of the wider Yangtze basin: layered ridges, small streams cutting down between them and farmland stepped into the slopes. Printed in black and white, that terrain comes through in the roads. They loop, double back and split around high ground, and the result reads almost like a topographic drawing even though no contour lines are shown.
A Zhenxi map poster suits someone who knows the town from the inside, such as a family home, a school or the road out towards the district centre. Because the place is compact, the frame can take in both the dense centre and the open countryside around it. The contrast between the two becomes the subject of the print.

Rural road web
Past the centre, narrow roads branch off to villages and farm plots. Their fine lines sprawl across the paper and give the edges of the poster a delicate texture.
Ridge and valley
The hill country of Chongqing shows up indirectly. Empty space marks the ridges, and roads bunch together in the low ground between them.

Zašto Zhenxi
Mapa koja nešto znači
People who hang Zhenxi usually know it personally, as a hometown, a place they left for the city or somewhere relatives still live. A simple black-and-white plan keeps that memory specific without making it sentimental.
The title can read Zhenxi or a family name, and you can add a date and coordinates underneath. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand bring out the organic road patterns especially well.
