City Hall and Sunken Gardens
The historic domed building and the lawn before it form the town's formal core. On the map it reads as a strong, symmetrical axis within an otherwise organic pattern.

Atascadero Map Poster & Print
Atascadero lies in San Luis Obispo County on California's Central Coast, in rolling country dotted with oaks. The town was founded in 1913 by publisher Edward Gardner Lewis as a planned colony. From above, its streets follow the land rather than a strict grid, winding along the hills and valleys. That gives the map a soft, organic look.
At the centre stands the Atascadero City Hall, originally the colony's administration building. It faces a formal lawn, the Sunken Gardens, laid out along a clear axis. U.S. Route 101 runs through the town, and the Salinas River flows along its eastern side. Atascadero Lake, to the west, is a clear open shape surrounded by a park.
An Atascadero map poster brings the formal centre, the curving residential streets and the river valley together in one frame. Its composition has both structure and freedom. It suits Central Coast residents, those who grew up in the town, and anyone who admires early twentieth-century planned communities.

Curving hillside streets
Residential roads follow the contours of the oak-covered hills. The result is a loose, flowing street network that looks quite different from a typical American grid.
Atascadero Lake
The lake west of the centre is ringed by a park. On the poster it is a clean, open shape among the winding streets.

Kwa nini Atascadero
Ramani yenye maana
Atascadero is a place people put down roots: a family home in the hills, a first house, a stop between Los Angeles and San Francisco that became somewhere to stay. The map records that attachment in a clear, graphic way.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are editable, useful for a move-in date or a family name. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy it as a $9 digital file, including 18×24″ and 24×36″, or as a printed poster.
