Ramani
Biel/Bienne Map Poster & Print
Biel/Bienne sits at the northeastern end of Lake Biel, where the first ridges of the Jura rise steeply behind the town. From above, the geometry is clear. The lakeshore forms a gentle arc, the medieval old town sits on a small rise below the hills, and the nineteenth- and twentieth-century city spreads across the flat ground toward the neighbouring town of Nidau and the canals.
It is Switzerland's largest officially bilingual city, where German and French are used side by side in street names, schools and everyday conversation. It is also a centre of Swiss watchmaking, home to the headquarters of major brands including Swatch and Omega. The industrial quarters built for that trade still shape the plain between the old town and the lake.
A Biel/Bienne map poster shows those layers together: the tight old town, the regular industrial-era blocks, the Schüss river channels and the lake's calm edge. It suits the precise, minimal look of the posters, much like a watch face that has been reduced to its essentials.

Old town on the rise
The small medieval centre sits slightly above the plain at the foot of the Jura, its irregular lanes easy to tell apart from the orderly blocks around it.
Rivers and canals
The Schüss/Suze splits into channels through the city, and nearby canals from the Jura water corrections add straight, engineered lines of water to the layout.

Kwa nini Biel/Bienne
Ramani yenye maana
People who work in the watch industry, study here, or grew up switching between two languages often want a precise, understated image of the city. Lake, mountain and grid give the map a balanced composition that looks good at any size.
The title can be written in German, French or both, and the subtitle and coordinates line can be edited too. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the city's engineering side especially well.
