Dalkola Map Poster & Print
Dalkola, also spelled Dalkhola, is a town in the Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal, close to the border with Bihar. It sits on the wide, level plains of northern Bengal, where the land barely rises and the view from above is shaped by roads, ponds and fields rather than hills. The town grew as a local trading point for the surrounding farmland.
The strongest line on the map is the national highway that passes through the town, a major road link between northeastern India and the rest of the country. Dalkola's shops and houses spread along it and along the railway, then thin out into agricultural land. Small ponds and water channels, typical of the Bengal plain, are scattered across the town and its edges.
A Dalkola map poster captures the shape of a highway town: dense along its main routes and open at the margins. Few printed maps show a place of this size in detail, which is part of the appeal. For people who grew up here, the poster is a clear, lasting record of the lanes, market streets and crossings they know well.

Rail line
The railway runs through the town and has its own station, a second strong line across the map. It works with the highway to give Dalkola its long shape.
Ponds and paddy
Small ponds and field boundaries surround the built area. They add scattered shapes and fine lines typical of the flat, well-watered plains of northern Bengal.
