Valley-bound streets
The town's streets stay on the level ground of the valley, so the core reads as a narrow, concentrated band of lines rather than a sprawling grid.

Dunhao Map Poster & Print
Dunhao lies in the hill country of northeastern Chongqing, where towns rarely get to spread out. From above, the built-up area follows the flat ground along valleys and watercourses. Contour-hugging roads link it to the villages around it. The street pattern is compact and practical, shaped more by the slopes around it than by any master plan.
This is a place defined by terrain. On a monochrome print the empty space matters as much as the lines: steep, wooded ground surrounds the settlement and leaves the town as a dense cluster of short streets. Longer roads leave that cluster in switchbacks and curves. The contrast between the tight core and the looping approach roads gives the composition its structure.
A Dunhao map poster suits someone who knows the town personally, whether they grew up there, have family nearby, or passed through on the way across the Chongqing uplands. It shows the everyday geometry of a place most world maps leave out, drawn in the same careful detail usually saved for capitals.

Winding approach roads
Roads into Dunhao bend with the hillsides. On paper they turn into long, soft curves that pull the eye outward from the dense centre.
Open upland space
Around the settlement, large areas without streets mark the surrounding hills. That quiet negative space frames the town and gives the print room to breathe.

Kwa nini Dunhao
Ramani yenye maana
People hang a map of Dunhao because it is personal: a hometown, a family address, a place tied to a particular year. A clean black-and-white street plan keeps that memory without the clutter of a tourist map, and it sits well on a wall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9, and printed posters are shipped by partners in more than 30 countries.
