Eden Prairie Map Poster & Print
Eden Prairie is in the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis. Its southern edge is formed by the broad valley of the Minnesota River. On the map, the steep bluffs and the wide, wooded floodplain below them contrast with the curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs that cover most of the city. Small lakes and creek corridors break up the neighbourhoods.
Much of the city was built from the 1970s on, and it shows. Main roads and highways form a loose frame, with winding streets in between. Parks and trails follow the creeks. The Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge lies along the river below the bluffs, and a regional airport and a large shopping centre are among the city's landmarks.
An Eden Prairie map poster shows a suburb shaped by water and terrain as much as by planning. The lakes appear as clean, simple shapes, the curving streets make a soft pattern, and the river valley gives the whole composition a strong southern edge. It is a calm, balanced map.

Lakes and creeks
Several small lakes and creek corridors are spread through the city. They show up as smooth open shapes surrounded by streets, parks and trails.
Curving street plan
Most neighbourhoods follow a suburban pattern of loops and cul-de-sacs, framed by a few main roads and highways. This gives the map a soft, flowing texture.
