Gardena lies in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County, on the flat coastal plain between downtown Los Angeles and the harbour. Its map is a close, regular grid of residential blocks crossed by wide boulevards, with the Harbor Freeway along its eastern side and other freeways close by.
