Glen Burnie is an unincorporated community in northern Anne Arundel County, Maryland, just south of Baltimore and close to BWI Marshall Airport. Its map is classic mid-century American suburbia: a small older commercial centre, broad arterial roads, and many neighbourhoods of curving streets and cul-de-sacs spreading outward in irregular clusters.
Ritchie Highway, Maryland Route 2, runs north to south through the community and remains its main spine, lined with shopping centres.
