Kasba Map Poster & Print
Kasba lies in Purnia district, in northeastern Bihar, on the broad, flat plains watered by the rivers that come down from the Himalayas toward the Ganges. The land around it is almost completely level and heavily farmed. Fields stretch in all directions, broken by village clusters, groves of trees, ponds and a network of rural roads.
The town itself is a compact grouping of streets and lanes around a market area, with the railway and main roads passing through or nearby. Ponds are a common feature in this part of Bihar, and they appear on the map as small, regular or rounded shapes among the buildings and fields. The absence of hills means the roads run long and fairly straight across the plain.
A Kasba map poster shows a steady, grounded landscape: a town at the centre of a wide plain, with roads spreading out towards villages and larger towns such as Purnia. The composition is calm and even, with the built area at its heart and the fields and ponds giving texture around it. People from Kasba will recognise the market, the station road and the lanes of their own neighbourhood.

Ponds among streets
Ponds, typical of this region, are scattered across the town and the countryside. They create small open shapes that break up the pattern of streets and fields.
Straight rural roads
On the flat plain, roads run long and fairly straight toward villages and neighbouring towns. They give the map a clear structure out to its edges.
