Original town grid
A small block pattern beside the railway marks where Kyle began. Its short, regular streets look quite different from the looping residential roads that now surround it on most sides.

Kyle Map Poster & Print
Kyle sits in Hays County on the Interstate 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio. From above, the old town is a small, tidy grid laid out beside the railway, and the newer city spreads out around it in curving subdivisions, cul-de-sacs and long collector roads. Open farmland still fills some of the gaps and gives the map its loose, unfinished edges.
The town began as a stop on the railroad in the 1880s. It is named after Fergus Kyle, one of the landowners involved in founding it. The writer Katherine Anne Porter spent part of her childhood here, and her family home is now a small museum. In recent decades Kyle has been among the fastest-growing cities in the country.
A Kyle map poster records a place in the middle of that change. The compact original blocks sit near the rail line, the interstate runs past like a ruled line, and new neighbourhoods reach outward in patterns that would not have been on any map twenty years ago. In black and white, the old and new layers are easy to tell apart.

Interstate 35
The highway runs through the city on its way between Austin and San Antonio. On the poster it is the strongest straight line, with interchanges and frontage roads along its length.
Subdivision curves
Newer neighbourhoods are drawn as winding streets, closed loops and cul-de-sacs. In print they form soft, repeating shapes that fill the spaces between older country roads.

Kwa nini Kyle
Ramani yenye maana
People who moved to Kyle during its growth years often want a record of the neighbourhood where they started out, and those who grew up here want the old downtown near the rail line. A map poster covers both, from the original blocks to the newest streets.
Add a title, a subtitle such as the year you moved in, and a coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9 and include six print sizes, or you can order a printed poster, with an optional frame.
