Myślenice Map Poster & Print
Myślenice lies in Lesser Poland, about thirty kilometres south of Kraków, where the lowlands start to rise into the foothills of the Beskids. The Raba river runs along the town, and the historic centre sits on higher ground above it. The centre is built around a rectangular market square, as in many old Polish towns, with streets leaving each corner toward the surrounding districts.
The main road from Kraków to Zakopane, known as the Zakopianka, passes Myślenice. For many travellers heading to the Tatras, the town is the first place where the mountains start. Just above the town is Chełm, a wooded hill with walking trails and a small ski area, which makes Myślenice popular with weekend visitors from Kraków.
A Myślenice map poster shows a town between river and hills. The square sits at the centre of the composition, the Raba curves along one side, the arterial road runs through the valley, and green slopes rise at the edge of the frame. Its layout is clear and a little asymmetrical, shaped by the land more than by planning.

Raba river
The Raba flows past the town in a broad valley. Its course and riverside green space form the lower edge of the historic centre on the map.
Chełm hill
The wooded hill above the town has trails and a ski slope. It rises sharply beside the streets and marks where the Beskid foothills begin.
