Castle town core
The streets around the former castle site are more compact than the rest of the city. They keep the tight, irregular layout of an old Mikawa castle town.

Nishio Map Poster & Print
Nishio lies in the southern part of Aichi Prefecture, on low ground that runs down to Mikawa Bay. The city grew in 2011 when it merged with several neighbouring towns, so it now covers inland farmland, small river channels and a stretch of coastline with fishing harbours. On a map, the old castle-town streets form a small cluster within a wide, open landscape of fields and villages.
The city is best known for matcha. The tea fields around Nishio have supplied powdered green tea for more than a century, and the area is one of the largest producers of tencha, the leaf that is ground into matcha. The coastal district of Isshiki is known for eel farming, and on the map its water-filled ponds and channels form a distinctive pattern near the shore.
A Nishio map poster shows the gradual change from town to farmland to sea. The dense grid around the castle site gives way to irregular farm plots, drainage lines and scattered villages, which then reach the coast. The bay creates a strong outline along the southern edge. The result is a quiet, well-balanced composition that suits a calm room.

Tea country
Across the inland area, small fields and farm roads form a fine grid. This is the landscape that produces Nishio's well-known matcha.
Mikawa Bay shore
To the south, the city meets the water in a long, shallow coastline of harbours, reclaimed land and aquaculture ponds.

Kwa nini Nishio
Ramani yenye maana
For tea lovers, Nishio is where much of their matcha comes from. For people who lived here, it is a mix of castle-town streets and open fields near the bay. The map shows that combination in a simple, uncluttered way.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family home or the year of a visit. You can print it in one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The soft Paper style suits the city's rural character.
