Novogrudok Map Poster & Print
Novogrudok stands on one of the higher points in Belarus, on an upland in Grodno Region. The historic core occupies a hill, with the ruins of a medieval castle on a rise at its edge. Streets radiate outward from the old market area and run down the slopes toward the surrounding countryside.
Novogrudok was one of the earliest centres of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and has long been associated with the state's early years. The castle ruins and their surviving towers are among its most recognisable features, along with a large earthen mound built in memory of the poet Adam Mickiewicz, who spent his childhood here.
On the map, the old centre forms an irregular pattern of streets around the former market square, while later districts extend in more regular blocks. A Novogrudok map poster shows how a medieval hill town grew outward over centuries, its layout still centred on the heights where the castle once stood.

Radiating streets
Streets fan out from the old market square in several directions. This irregular, radial pattern reflects centuries of growth around a single hilltop centre.
Mickiewicz mound
A large earthen mound dedicated to Adam Mickiewicz rises near the castle hill and appears as a distinct rounded shape among the surrounding green areas.
