Obrenovac Map Poster & Print
Obrenovac is one of the city municipalities of Belgrade, about thirty kilometres southwest of the centre. It sits on the flat plain near the point where the Kolubara River flows into the Sava. The two rivers shape the map. The Sava forms a broad curve to the north, and the smaller Kolubara winds in from the south.
Because the land is so low, water has marked the town's history. In May 2014, record floods on the Kolubara submerged much of Obrenovac and forced a large evacuation. On the riverbank stands the Nikola Tesla power station, Serbia's largest thermal power plant, whose large industrial site is clearly visible on any detailed map.
An Obrenovac map poster shows the compact town centre, the rivers around it and the flat, cultivated plain. Its streets form a fairly regular grid on the flat ground, with the river curves running beside it. The composition is balanced, with water, town and industry all present.

Power station site
The Nikola Tesla power station occupies a large, geometric industrial area near the Sava. It forms a strong block that contrasts with the residential streets.
Floodplain fields
Level farmland surrounds the town in long parcels. Its straight edges show how flat the ground is and how close the river plain comes to the centre.

Kwa nini Obrenovac
Ramani yenye maana
People from Obrenovac, including those who rebuilt after the 2014 floods, often feel a strong tie to the town. A map is a steady reminder of home, and the meeting of the two rivers makes an attractive design in its own right.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Latin or Cyrillic script, with a family name or an important date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the town's industrial side.
