Oria Map Poster & Print
Oria lies in Gipuzkoa, just inland from San Sebastián, in the municipality usually written as Lasarte-Oria. It takes its name from the Oria river, which bends across the valley floor here on its way to the sea. On a map, the built-up area stays close to the river and the transport routes, filling the narrow strip of flat ground before the slopes rise.
Instead of a single square grid, the terrain shapes the street pattern. Blocks step up the hillsides, roads curve along the contours, and housing clusters fit into whatever space is available. Road and rail links toward San Sebastián run through the valley and draw long parallel lines across the map. Around the edges, fields and woods fill the green Basque landscape.
The San Sebastián racecourse is close by, one of the few large, open shapes in a tightly packed setting. An Oria map poster shows how a working valley town arranges itself around a river and its routes. The pattern repeats across the Basque Country, but each town has its own bends.

Valley corridors
Road and rail lines toward San Sebastián run side by side through the valley, adding long, strong lines that cross the map from end to end.
Hillside streets
On the slopes, streets curve and step with the terrain, making a softer, more irregular pattern than on the flatter land by the river.
