The Viosne valley
The Viosne crosses the commune in a soft, winding line. The oldest streets follow it, and it anchors the rest of the map.

Osny Map Poster & Print
Osny lies in Val-d'Oise, north-west of Paris, and is one of the communes that make up the Cergy-Pontoise urban area. On the map it has two characters. There is a compact older centre in the valley of the Viosne, a small river running towards Pontoise and the Oise. Around it are the curving residential streets, cul-de-sacs and green spaces typical of the new-town era.
The contrast is clear from above. The old roads follow the valley and the river line. The later neighbourhoods spread out in loops across the slopes, with wide gaps of parkland and woodland between them. The château grounds and the open fields at the commune's edges keep the map from filling up completely.
An Osny map poster is a good fit for people who live in the western Île-de-France, or who studied or worked around Cergy-Pontoise. It shows a place that is suburban and green at once, with a village river valley still visible under the modern plan.

New-town loops
Residential districts from the Cergy-Pontoise development appear as curving streets and closed loops. They make a textured pattern quite different from the straight grids of central Paris.
Green edges
Woodland, parkland and farmland wrap around the built-up areas. Because of that, the poster has breathing room and clear pale spaces between neighbourhoods.
