La Défense
The towers and the elevated esplanade make up a large geometric area in the north of the commune. Their shapes are very different from the fine streets around them.

Puteaux Map Poster & Print
Puteaux is on the left bank of the Seine, just west of Paris in Hauts-de-Seine. The river bends along its eastern side, and the long, narrow Île de Puteaux lies in the channel, covered in sports grounds and greenery. On a map, the waterfront, the island and the bridges give the commune a clear eastern edge.
To the north, the street pattern changes completely. Much of the La Défense business district, including the Grande Arche, stands on Puteaux territory. The large raised esplanade and the tower footprints form a monumental, geometric block that looks nothing like the ordinary streets further south. A Puteaux map poster shows both sides together: the massive grid of the business towers and the older town below it.
South of La Défense, Puteaux keeps the texture of an older Paris suburb, with a town centre, market streets and residential blocks rising gently from the river. The historical axis that starts at the Louvre and runs through the Arc de Triomphe continues across the Seine here to the Grande Arche, and that straight line is easy to follow on the map.

Île de Puteaux
A long island in the Seine, covered with sports fields and parkland. It forms a pale, elongated shape between the two river channels next to the town.
The historical axis
The straight line from central Paris continues to the Grande Arche. Few cities have a single perspective this clear, and on the map it cuts across everything else.

Kwa nini Puteaux
Ramani yenye maana
Puteaux means something to people who live in its quiet streets and to the many who commute to La Défense each day. The map captures where the Seine, the old town and the business district meet.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with an office address or the date of a first job. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint and Noir both suit La Défense's geometry.
