Rijswijk Map Poster & Print
Rijswijk lies directly against the southeastern edge of The Hague, joined so closely that the boundary is hard to spot on a map. What sets it apart is its structure. A small historic village core near the old church is surrounded by residential districts planned mostly after the Second World War, each with its own pattern of streets, green strips and water.
Water frames the town in typical Dutch fashion. The Vliet, an old canal linking Leiden, The Hague and Delft, runs along the eastern side, while smaller watercourses and ponds thread through the neighbourhoods. Parks and country estates, some of them centuries old, leave wide green areas that break up the density of the housing.
In 1697 the Treaty of Rijswijk, which ended the Nine Years' War, was signed at a palace here that no longer stands; an obelisk marks the site. A Rijswijk map poster presents the town on its own terms rather than as a suburb, with its canal, parks and carefully ordered districts.

Planned neighbourhoods
Each postwar district follows its own layout of courts, crescents and straight rows. Together they create a varied but orderly patchwork across the sheet.
Estates and parks
Old country estates and public parks keep large green spaces within the town. On the poster they appear as open areas threaded with paths and water.

Kwa nini Rijswijk
Ramani yenye maana
Rijswijk is often seen as just part of The Hague, but the people who live there know its neighbourhoods by name. A map gives the town a frame of its own, whether you want to remember a first home or simply the walk along the Vliet.
Add a personal title, a date or your street name, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download six print-ready sizes for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
