Rochester Hills Map Poster & Print
Rochester Hills sits in Oakland County, north of Detroit, and its map is built on the square mile-road grid that covers much of southeast Michigan. Between those straight arterials, residential streets loop and curl into cul-de-sacs, so each square mile has its own internal pattern. The Clinton River cuts diagonally across the grid, and parks and wooded ravines leave open patches along its course.
The city shares its eastern side with the older village of Rochester, and Oakland University occupies a large campus on its southern edge, including the historic Meadow Brook Hall estate. The Paint Creek and Clinton River trails follow former rail lines and stream valleys, adding long, gentle curves that run against the grid.
A Rochester Hills map poster makes that contrast the main subject: rigid section lines outside, meandering streets and water within. It is a typical American suburban plan, but the river, campus and trail corridors give it real distinction. In black and white, the geometry becomes surprisingly graphic, and it holds up well in a large 24×36″ print.

Clinton River corridor
The river runs diagonally through the city, bringing parkland, ravines and a winding line of open space that breaks the grid in an appealing way.
Oakland University
The university campus on the south side shows up as a broad area of open ground, curving drives and scattered buildings, with the Meadow Brook estate nearby.
